Thankfulness

As I looked upon my children as they slept I was filled with such thanksgiving towards God.  I looked at their peaceful little faces and could only think of the silly and cute things that they do.  Not once did I think of them misbehaving but only thought of the joy they bring me.
I was filled with Thanksgiving to God for He has reminded me of how some of my prayers have been answered.
During the busyness of our days it is very difficult to focus on having a grateful heart since our mind is so clouded by our to do list.
There is so much today that keeps us so busy that we start to easily live our life driven by what we need to do and having little to no enjoyment for life.  Instead, we are filled with frustration.

The Bible speaks about the "constant renewal of our minds".  To accomplish this, we need to redirect our focus when it's driven away from what truly is important.
I heard someone say that the more we are determined not to think of something in particular the more we think about it.  Why? Because our focus is constantly on what we are avoiding.  Instead of being determined not to think wrong we need to change the topic of conversation in our mind to what is wholesome and godly.

I encourage you take a moment and think of one thing each day that you are grateful for and you will see that your outlook on life will change greatly.  This isn't Called positive thinking this is taking the amazing brain and thought process that God so meticulously created in us and train it for its intended purpose.

A changed mind creates a changed life.  Most effectively when God is part of the plan!
