There are times when I start to feel overwhelmed that I need my alone time with God. Where my focus is on building my relationship with Him because He sustains me.
Friends encourage and help and it's vital to have good God fearing friends that surround us but peace and strength only come from God.
It has been during this time that I listen and learn His will for my life.
If you are feeling overwhelmed I encourage you to find peace in the only one that can give it, Jesus!
Making decisions can cause a lot of stress. Especially when we feel we can't seem to fix something. That's because it's not for us to fix but a great opportunity to hand over our life to the safest place they can be in "God's".
It's important to me to seek His direction for my life. Even when our intentions are to do something good it's important we seek whether God is in that plan.
Even the great apostle Peter had the best of intentions to reach many people who needed some serious help yet the Bible says
"having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them." Acts 16:6-7.
Lesson 1= overwhelmed? Drown out the noise and spend time with the only one that can sort all problems = Jesus
Lesson 2= problem solver syndrome. There are situation we were designed not to solve so that we can finally reach out to God and place our desperate trust in His hands. Greatest life planner= Jesus
Lesson 3= making important decisions need important guidance = Jesus
