Discombobulated!
That is how i felt the last few days out of my daily routine. After the amazing snow storm we just had we were left without power for a few days. Which also meant we had no running water in our house since our well pump can't work without electricity.
It made me realize how when we place so much of our reliance on something like electricity how when we are left without it our daily life turns into a bit of an uproar.
Isn't this how life works? When we place our happiness relying on others to make us happy we will always be discouraged.
You can't wait for your unforeseen situation to change or for others to change in order to be happy.
The Bible says:" Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
You know what most impacts me about this verse? It's the part that says that God's peace will guard your hearts and minds. In other words, you won't be tormented by thoughts of doubt nor will your heart be troubled. Regardless of what you are going through if you pray about it and focus on being thankful for what God has indeed given you than your current problems will seem so small in comparison to what God has already provided for you.
