What kind of woman are you?

What you do, does it measure who you are before God?
You could have done more than anyone around you to show your godliness but God can look at all that you have presented to Him and not find any worth in it.  Why?  Because He looks at the reasons of why we do things!  If the intentions aren't good than the sacrifice of prayer, good deeds... is worthless.
For example, have you ever been disappointed when your spouse as done something for you not because he wants to but instead because he is terrified you might get upset with him if he doesn't do it.  You might be glad he did what you requested of him but you still feel disappointed because you know deep down inside it was forced to prevent an argument and not out of love for you.

Same with God, He doesn't want us to do things just to show Him we are good people (whatever that means), He instead wants us to do good deeds because we desire to.  I find that it is more admirable to see someones godliness in their attitude than it is to hear someone boast about all that they do for Christ and instead their attitude towards others shows absolutely no godliness.  Don't talk about being a good person (none of us are good except through the love of God) instead behave like a kind, compassionate, loving person.

Part of having godliness is waiving our right to judge others.  Some people will certainly hurt us but allow God to set things straight, don't try to do justice by your own hands because you will only end up reaping misery.  Don't give your opinion to someone about another person (even if you know they aren't very kind) so that you don't slander the name of that person who might be going through some sort of difficult situation.

What peace you can obtain each day by striving to live your life in goodness.  First when you start to set your mind that you want to be kind let me just tell you all kind of harsh words and actions will raise themselves against you, and i believe that is God testing our endurance to persevere and striving to be different.  Stay strong, the Word of God says "But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong" Isaiah 54:17.   Notice this verse says you shall show to be in the wrong, in other words you  need to show through your actions of peace and kindness that what has been said unjustly about you is wrong.  Not by defending yourself but by showing that those accusations are beneath the godly character you are building and the only way to address such calamities is showing that you have peace and you will allow God to bring you justice.  Let me tell you to see God's justice fall upon someone that has wronged you can even be a painful experience for you.  Of course, it's good to see justice served but it is difficult to see God's wrath upon the life of the person that has wronged you.
I want to encourage you to grow in what God has called you to be, knowing that it won't be an easy task but one that will give you much peace within your mind and soul.
