If you are human you have encountered some type of jealous behavior throughout the years. So did the the first son of Adam and Eve who's name is Cain. He was jealous of his younger brother to the point that he murdered him. He felt his brother was a threat to his pride and thought that if he could eliminate his brother there would be no one that could threaten his ego.
The worst part of his crime was that when God gave him the chance to be truthful about his sin, he instead became defensive and lied.
"Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. And the Lord said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?". Genesis 4:8-9
There is nothing God despises more than a cowardly dishonest person. Someone that is so prideful that they will go to the extent of blaming everyone else for their sins and mistakes instead of taking responsibility for his/her actions. All because of jealousy.
Again this all goes to the most important expectation that God has from us which is to be accountable for our mistakes. If we are accountable we are cautious with what intentions we harvest in our hearts.
Be accountable!
