Sit back and watch chaos!
As I enjoyed a nice dinner with my husband tonigh (Date nights don't happen very often for us because of our children and my husband's church schedule)he said something that caught my attention. He was speaking about a great king (David) that had won many wars and conquered vast wealth because he feared God and God blessed him. However just like any great hero there is always something that sparks weakness. For superman it was that green crystal that would diminish all his great powers. For David his weakness was that he wasn't present where he was supposed to be. His country was at war with other kingdoms and David instead of being present in the battlefield to lift the morale of his warriors was in the comfort of his palace. Perhaps he felt that he had fought too many wars, and maybe because of. The certainty that he knew God was with him, he might of felt wether he was in the battlefield or not God would certainly sort things out in David's favor. His downfall came from him committing adultery with one of his soldier's wife's because he stood in his palace and saw her bathe from a distance. You're probably thinking what I thought today, maybe if he had been in the battlefield to show his warriors support he would of never have fallen into this sin.
as my husband elaborated in this story I started to think. How manny times have we said or have heard others say "God can fix this difficult situation if He wants to. The real question isn't whether God can fix the problem but whether we will be present in our battles and do our part. God always promised great victories to David and indeed they certainly came but nevertheless David still had to do his part and go to the battlefield.
If there is anything to learn from this story it is that we need to be present and do our part to overcome our difficult situations, whether it is your health that is suffering, your finances, your marriage... YOU need to be present and do your part. You can believe that God will change the situation but your faith will only be effective in changing that situation if you go into your battlefield ready to fight for your blessing.
Isn't your health worth it?
Isn't your financial breakthrough worth it?
Isn't your marriage and your family worth it?
Than do something about it, don't only believe that God can do something but show God you are willing to fight for you blessings.
The great innovators of our time didn't achieve great success instantly but thru fighting over and over for the one thing they believed in. Even when things don't look like they are going our way we still need to push ourselves pass the feeling of failure and despair until we see the results we want to see.
So don't sit back and watch chaos unfold in your life, but do something to show God you mean business when it comes to conquering your blessings!
