Commitment is not a promise

Sometimes I get frustrated to live in a world where everyone is always promising something that will never be accomplished. We shouldn't settle for empty promises but true commitments. If you are In a relationship with someone don't settle for promises but a commitment. Value yourself enough not to be someone's second choice or to be used like a pair of old shoes. Know what you want and don't settle for less! If you wait and place your trust on God finding the right person for you, I can attest that you will not regret it. I see too many girls settle into relationships just because they don't want to be alone and see everyone else with a boyfriend while they don't have one. Let us face it girls are smart but when it comes to matters of the heart they are foolish. We just want to have the attention and feel secure by the arms of a man, but the arms that wrap you can also destroy you. Make sure that if there is someone interested in you that you pray so God can guide you if that person is for you. If God shows you that this person isn't for you than have the courage to distance yourself. Most importantly look for someone who commits to you. Who commits to getting to know who you truly are not to just how you look. Making the right choice while dating can give you a head start to a one day successful marriage. Be wise!
