Bandaids are temporary

During this week where most people celebrate the resurrection of Jesus it's is great to see the crowds going to their churches. It's all great and beautiful but, but, but...  Is it real?

The crowds gather and praise God but does their heart belong to Him?

You see, God isn't taking attendance of when you go to church or your donations.  He is much interested whether your heart is with Him.

We cry out to Him when we have a life mess and just to make sure we have a backup plan we also seek other alternatives to God.  We seek trying to solve our issues ourselves, that usually ends up being a temporary bandaid but the wound is always there.

We seek other saints, mediums and anything else that we can use as our backup plan.  Unfortunately they are not only temporary bandaids but also welcome even greater messes into our lives.
Yet it seems so hard to go directly to the problem solver, the solution, the redeemer, the only one that can heal the wound and give purpose to our life.

Bandaids work to temporary stop bleeding but if the wound is too deep you need to go to the physician for healing.
If you have a deep wound in your life don't waste time covering it with bandaids but go directly to the One that will heal you.
You probably have tried everything under the sun to bring peace into your life but let me ask you this question, has it worked? Has it been a permanent fix or has it been temporary?

Life is too precious to be lived aimlessly without purpose.  If you tried everything else perhaps this is your opportunity to let go of the things you've tried and try God directly instead.
