Evaluate!

Every so often we need to take inventory of the type of relationships we have.  Really focus on what type of value our current relationships add to our life.  I believe the old saying "tell me who you're with and I will tell you who you are".  This is so uniquely true.  The people we surround ourselves with usually influence our behavior and decisions.
We really need to evaluate what type influences we surround ourselves with and see whether it's a godly influence or one that is just provoking lack of peace in our life.  The Bible who is the ultimate manual for how life should be lived says;

James 3:17

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Do your friends usually try to calm whatever storm of problems you are facing?  Do they try to bring peace between you and someone you have conflict with or do they add fuel to the fire?  Are they sincere in the advise they give you?

Think about it!

Life is complicated enough and we need to have people in our lives that add to it instead of taking away from it.

Do your own evaluation and pray so God can guide you in the direction of peace!
