Constant

I remember what I used to pray about when I was expecting my first child (actually I prayed this during all three pregnancies)I used to pray that my child would love God more than I do.  I knew from a growing up in a home full of turmoil that accepting Christ into our hearts, minds and souls is forever a life changing experience.
I saw God work through my parents almost failing marriage and was given the opportunity to see my family whole and united.
Because of this experience and feeling for once how much God truly loved me that He pursued me to change my life.  That's right my friend, God pursues us. Think about that when everything imaginable is going wrong and you start to question why God would allow you to go through such things while in the meantime God is always constant, unfailing, always there waiting to change your life.
I love that word, CONSTANT.  Truth is we are never constant our faith isn't always the same but God is constant with His love and zeal for our lives.  He will do anything to give you the opportunity to turn to Him.  Perhaps He has spared you and me from things we don't even know.  He is a constant wellspring of mercy and love.
I see Him constant even tonight as I hear my son telling me and his dad to,please accept Jesus into our lives.  He even said when you're really really old and you are very sick please accept Jesus into your heart.  Than he began to say "you know what you guys shouldn't wait until then, you should let Jesus into your heart right now".  We laughed and agreed, little does he know we allowed Jesus into our hearts a very long time ago.  Nevertheless it was a sweet reminder and also to see what I prayed for, when I was carrying him inside of me, come to life.
God you are constant and faithful and your faithfulness isn't measured by my imperfections but by your great love for me!
