The reaction is no surprise!

Often my reaction to certain situations is more disappointing to me than the situations themselves.  For many years I carried a sense of guilt to my reactions, very often disappointed that I should react with a sense of someone who isn't so easily shaken by any trial.  After all Jesus never promised that our walk on this earth would be easy but He certainly promised us that we would overcome our trials.

I always thought that if you worried when trials come that you were no where to overcoming them.  Very recently God showed me that He isn't so interested with my reactions to my trials as much as He is interested in the outcome after the trial.  Our reactions will never surprise God, He allows those things that were caused to provoke us to bring forth His greatness and mold our characters.

"And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation."
Romans 5:4

Praise God that He loves you so much that He has zeal for our salvation and well being.
