Children can be the most inspiring example of how life should be lived.
They don't care where they are and make the best of every given situation. They are happy to explore, to feel the breeze as they run. They do not discriminate against others that are different from them. They explore the differences of others with interest wanting to learn more about what makes them so different.
We as adults should be more like children. We should make the best of every given situation even if the situation isn't an ideal one. We should have the interest of exploring what makes others different from us. Not with a judgmental mind frame but with a mind frame of unique interest . Interest of wanting to learn something from someone else.
This I have learned from my godly friend of fifteen years. We might seem different in appearance, she has beautiful dark hair and olive skin color and I'm fair skinned with lighter hair color. I can be more timid yet she can be more forward.
Yet besides the apparent differences we have discovered that we are so much alike. We have similar challenges and can relate and understand each other very well. Sometimes I believe our life is intertwined. It probably is because I believe that we share the same spirit and vision for our lives.
As our children played together recently I looked at the six of them with admiration. They are very different in appearances yet they play together as if there were siblings. They are oblivious to their differences and enjoy the little time they get to see each other.
When you are pure of heart like a child you view others differently. you admire their differences and are eager to wanting to learn from them. This is what I noticed about my Oreo girls (this was the perfect name I gave them).
If we were more eager to learn about others we would overcome so many obstacles in life. We would be much more less to judge and a lot more compassionate with what makes someone else different.
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" Matthew 5:8
