Motives!

We always seem to believe that in order to receive anything great from God that we have to be the most perfect person that never experiences any sort of doubt on God's capability to do the impossible.

God does not look for us to be perfect because perfection is so far away from our achievement, He looks at our heart and whether our true intentions with our life decisions are to bring glory to His name.

I love what the Bible says;
 "Blessed is the man
    who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
    nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
 but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    and on his law he meditates day and night.

 He is like a tree
    planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
    and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
 The wicked are not so,
    but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
    nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
    but the way of the wicked will perish."
Psalm 1:1-6

This psalm makes it so clear that God looks at what our intentions are, not at whether or not we are perfect.  He looks to see what is behind our decisions, whether it's work, financial, love life, friendships etc.  He looks at every decision we make in our life and what the true motives are.  If the motives are righteous before God than He will bless your every decision.  I will give you one suggestion, get to know yourself!  Sometimes we think we know who we are but that is until we question the reasons why we do the things we do.  By questioning your motives you will see truly where your heart lies.
