Men are just different!

We all hear the saying "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus".  We are just different in every way.  The way we carry our emotions to how we respond to conflict, in general we are just different.
It's unrealistic to have the expectation for a man to fully understand us as a woman when we are such opposites.  Even if you are married and have your faith grounded on Christ it still doesn't remove our differences.
We as women need our emotional needs looked after.  We need to talk about things, we need to feel secure and we need to feel understood by our spouse.  Men on the other hand need to connect with us physically.  They don't like to talk about things and are happy as long as they feel physically connected to their spouse.
Understand this makes us see why so many arguments can break out in a marriage.  How can two very completely different people get to a place of understanding?  The answer is by both husband and wife recognizing each others needs within a marriage and slowly make the necessary strides to give each other what we need.
To a wife we need to be heard,and I'm not talking about nagging but about depth in a relationship.  About feeling pursued and that our partner has an interest in getting to know us.
For a husband it's about showing him affection and respect.  Men don't like to be undermined or be treated like if he is a child.
A husband should give his wife the courtesy to understand her emotions and in the same manner the wife should give her husband the due respect that he deserves.
