Insecurities

Have you ever paid attention that when you gather a group of women together we all tend to speak about our insecurities and most of these insecurities will most often have to do with our appearances.
No matter how well we try to dress when we look in the mirror we don't see how good we look we only focus at those areas of our bodies that we are so insecure about.

Magazines and television have become such a weapon against our self esteem.  We look at a magazine or a TV show and only see women that are fit which only makes us eat more, lol.

We see an image of something we want to become.  It is so dangerous to want to be like someone else.  Don't forget when you wish to be like someone else are you willing also to inherit their character flaws?  Or do we want just to take bits and pieces of what we see good in someone and do without the rest?

The truth is that even if you reach the ideal weight, perfect skin and beautiful hair there will always be something that you will feel you need to change.

I've met the most beautiful women and despite how gorgeous they look they don't necessarily see themselves as beautiful.
Sometimes we even place our life on hold because of how we feel about ourselves.  We loose enjoyment for living because we place our joy on how we think our appearance should be.
I'm not saying we shouldn't live healthy lives, I've recently changed how i eat and implemented exercise which was non existent one year back.  Nevertheless despite not being any where close to a size 0 i still have joy for life.  I have joy when i watch my children play, when I'm with my husband, when i see my family, when i spend time with good friends and most importantly when i seek my God.  God has been the sustaining force of my life, getting to know Him has changed me and empowered me to be the woman He called and chosen me to be.
Don't consume yourself trying to be someone else but be who God created you to be.  Besides, there is no one else in the world like you.
