what a mess of feelings!

Remember the days when you were in school?  When we would weekly have a test to show if we learned the material that we were taught that week.  I disliked with a passion to prepare for tests.  Actually i don't know how in High school i even graduated.  Lets just say i remembered things well, or according to my sister it was just pure luck, lol.
Well not much has changed since then.  We still have tests, except now our tests are guided by the ultimate teacher, God!  That's right, no one wants to hear it but it's true.  God tests our faith.
Why?  Because He wants to see the level of trust we have learned through our years.  He wants to reward us for our perseverance in our faith.
If you read James 1:3, it says; "because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."
Seriously?  I've questioned God "you already know my heart than why test me?"  The answer to that surprised me "because you are easily deceived by your own heart".  How do i know that, because how many times have you or me caught ourselves making decisions and saying things that we knew we shouldn't have and nevertheless we still make those wrong choices.  That's right my friend, this is the reason why God tests us not because He delights in our suffering but because we mature when we persevere through our tests.  You feel and are rewarded at the end of each test.
I still don't like my tests, lol.  Especially those that have to do with my children, but i try to focus on the fact that NO ONE can dictate the future of my children, nor can they dictate who they are.  I know who they are and who they will become and no one can tell me other wise from what i believe.  Regardless of what others may say i know what i believe.
KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE!  Don't allow what you feel emotionally to dictate what you know God will do for you.  Our emotions can deceive us to make wrong choices.  Hold fast and don't let go of the conviction that there is a harvest of blessings at the end of your test.  Hold on firmly to your belief of the blessings that await you after the storm has passed.  Be blessed!
