Frustrated!

Frustration can be a daily part at times of our daily lives.  We get frustrated with our daily agendas, people’s reactions, and lack of alone time and in general sometimes everything.  Being a mom of three wonderful busy kids I sometimes feel frustration knocking at my door.  I often think how I wish I was wonder woman just capable of juggling everything and accomplishing everything I would like.  Unfortunately I am not wonder woman and often get stressed when I am unable to complete everything on my to do list. Is it really worth living life like this and not enjoying my everyday life?  The obvious answer is no but how can I accomplish a less stressful life?  I was able to find the answer on one of my favorite Bible passages.
“When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.  So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”  Luke 5:4-8
It’s obvious that Simon was frustrated after spending all night working to catch absolutely not even one fish.  His response to Jesus is one that we often give, we at times are so frustrated that we can’t push or stretch ourselves thinner.  Nevertheless Simon was respectful and went out one more time on Jesus’ command.  What a shock Simon must of received when his boat was so full of fish that it started to sink and needed assistance from another boat.
We can stretch ourselves thin at times but we can also push ourselves beyond our limits and still accomplish our to do list and anything that God as called us to do.  The important thing to keep in mind is to have enjoyment while we accomplish our daily to do list.  Be ready to experience frustration because it will come in one way or another but do not allow it to rob you of your God given peace.  Keep in mind that we make the ultimate decision whether or not we are going to allow our peace to be taken away from us.  I often say to myself at times when I start to feel overwhelmed “God has given me the grace to handle this and to finish it”.  Be blessed and full of joy from God!
