Imagine how you could change your life by one word alone. Imagine the power you would carry in your lips by subduing all your problems by uttering one word. This power is found on Phillipians 2:9-11
“ Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”
We have the power thru the name of Jesus to subdue all the frustrations of our lives, all our infirmities and anything that tries to disturb our peace. So why not use this power to take control of our lives? Because the devil knows that if we get into the habit of professing the name of Jesus in our lives that he won’t have a foothold over our lives.
I’ve been finding myself recently using this amazing tool that God gave to subdue everything that tries to disturb me and I feel empowered each time I open my mouth to speak the name of JESUS. Not that I didn’t profess my faith in Christ before but time can make us comfortable and forget the important things that we learn early in our walk with God. Old lessons needed to be revisited in order for new victories to come into my life.
I recall the first time that I read this passage and found out that all authority was given to HIS name. It was amazing to know something as simple as a name could have so much power and change the direction of my life every time I spoke of HIM.
There are many names, many gods and many beliefs but none have been known to drive out demons, heal the sick and simply deliver from tormenting thoughts that try to find their way into our hearts and soul. Jesus didn’t come for a tour of the earth on vacation; He came with the purpose to bring hope knowing that His life was the price that He would have to pay to give us that hope. Who else is known for sacrificing His or Her own life on behalf of people that didn’t appreciate it far less deserved it. He did it for us because He loves us unconditionally. So never say that no one loves you. To accept His love is our choice, He will never force Himself into our lives. But I will leave you with this thought; how much better our life could be by allowing Him to come into our hearts, besides what else do we have to lose? Some of us have wasted much time and lost way too much already. I pray that you take the treasure that you can find in Jesus and change the course of your life. Be blessed!
