Loud and insecure, silent and unfriendly

We were created uniquely unlike anyone else in the world and God prides Himself on how diverse He has created us.  What we need to weigh in is what are the motives that are driving our attitudes, our reactions and our plans.  If they are truthful and pure than surely God's hand is over them but if they are intended for self gain without any sensitivity to the hurt we are provoking to others than we are becoming everything that God cautions us about.
I had to accept my uniqueness.  I have always been quiet and never liked to draw too much attention to myself.  I did envy my friends that were outspoken.  I viewed their outspokenness to be a sign of strength.  This is until I realized that people that are extremely outspoken do it out of insecurity.  They don't want to feel unnoticed and by being outspoken it makes them feel validated.
We need to be careful to what cost our validation comes by.  If we are delighting ourselves by making others feel inferior because we need to be the center of attention and the best at everything than we are bringing hurt to others.
Then again if we are so reserved that we make others feel that we don't want to associate with them than we are also creating hurt.
God is a God of balance and we need to really meditate in our motives to see if there's purity in them.  Balance to accept our unique ways and also to be cautious with the type of example we are setting for others.
We live in times of hurt, envy and anger.  This means that we have to become the difference we want to see.  It's not everyone that will hurt you.  It's not everyone that is envious of you and it's not everyone that revolts in anger against you.  Don't allow this mind frame to poison your mind.  This can prevent you from receiving blessings that God had intended to give you.
