Early this week i was driving home with my daughter and i started to sing in the car. My daughter quickly responded to my singing by saying "Mom can you please stop that?". I was suprised, i didn't think kids could tell the difference whether you sang well or not, lol. Well she certainly wasn't tone death, she knew very well whatever noise was coming out of my mouth didn't sound good. So i started to think, in my mind i know i can sing a beautiful song perfectly pitched but why can't what is in my mind coincide with what comes out of my mouth?
Our mind is certainly a mystery at times. I remember as a kid invisioning in my mind that i was a princess or beautiful singer. I used to see these things so well in my mind that it almost made me believe that was my reality.
Our mind can be a deposit of wonderful things that we want to conquer or become. If we believe it enough we can certainly achieve it, except for my singing, lol! Our mind is the foundation builder of our blessings. We need to believe with all our might that what we know God can do for us, He will. We need to press those beliefs deep into our mind so even thou we aren't seeing our blessings with our physical eyes we are already seeing them in our thoughts and dreams.
The devil, knows that victory starts in our mind. This is the reason why he tries to disturb our thoughts with anxiety and worry. He knows that if he can conquer our mind and control our emotions we will never be able to achieve the greatness of God's blessings in our lives. No wonder the word of God says that we need to put on the Helmet of salvation. The Word of God doesn't say that you can't think negative thoughts or that you need to have pure thoughts to be saved but it says to put on the helmet of salvation. Whenever the accusations of the devil try to hit your thoughts you need to speak the word of God and say "salvation is already mine". Use the word of God to fight against the fiery darts that the devil tries to shoot at you.
Protect your mind with the salvation that God has granted you and speak to those negative thoughts and put them in agreement with the Word of God in your life.
You are probably thinking that this is easier said than done, and you are right! It is a battlefield that we enter daily and sometimes even nightly. It is a constant battle that we fight but it is one that we can overcome daily. Fill your mind with the great things you want to achieve and don't allow anything to make you stop believing that you will achieve those blessings.
Be blessed!
