I forget not because of you but for my own sake!

I started today meditating on this verse and I ask that you read every word carefully and hopefully you can gather the full extent of what God revealed to me this morning;
Isaiah 43:18-25 (New Living Translation)
18 “But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
19 For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
20 The wild animals in the fields will thank me,
the jackals and owls, too,
for giving them water in the desert.
Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland
so my chosen people can be refreshed.
21 I have made Israel for myself,
and they will someday honor me before the whole world.
22 “But, dear family of Jacob, you refuse to ask for my help.
You have grown tired of me, O Israel!
23 You have not brought me sheep or goats for burnt offerings.
You have not honored me with sacrifices,
though I have not burdened and wearied you
with requests for grain offerings and frankincense.
24 You have not brought me fragrant calamus
or pleased me with the fat from sacrifices.
Instead, you have burdened me with your sins
and wearied me with your faults.
25 “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake
and will never think of them again.
God is going to do something new for you and me.  Even if we are in the wilderness (alone) or in the wasteland (in a barren or unused state) God will make a path for you in the wilderness and a river in the wasteland so you can be refreshed.  What amazed me about the above passage is that God first tells us what He is going to do for us how He is going to bless us, and He points out that even thou His people (us) haven’t been honoring Him with their sacrifices and that He is burdened by our sins He will never think of our sins again for His own sake (not ours).
God is merciful and amazing and He has done and will always do for those who love Him far more than what we deserve.  There is a lot of turmoil going on around us all over the world.  Each passing week we hear news of horrific catastrophes, but let us not forget that above all of this there is God and He will deliver His people not because you or I deserve it but because He loves us and He rejoices on blessing us.  Let us not lose focus of the mighty God that honors every small seed of faith that we deposit on Him.  He isn’t the National or World bank that can go into default, He can give us double for our trouble and will never default in His many blessings.  Be blessed!
